I see what you did there! I did regret starting Penance seven years earlier, but rookie writers can afford some mistakes. And this is where I'm smiling sheepishly, but rather unapologetically.
To relieve you of any tedium, let's just say that the past will be over and done with by the first chapter (if there's even going to be one in the first place).
